Will it keep me awake?
It's built to be the opposite of overhead lighting — soft, diffused and fully dimmable. On its lowest setting it's a quiet glow across the ceiling, not a light you look at. Most people set the timer so it switches itself off once they've drifted.
“Was not sure what to expect after ordering. Had that feeling that I should not have ordered it. After it arrived I set it up in our bedroom. The colors are soothing and relaxing. Helps my brain detach from the world and allow me to calm down and go to sleep.”Michael · Verified buyer
Is it for adults or for kids?
Both, for different reasons. Adults tend to use it as the signal the day is over — overhead lights off, projector on, phone down. Parents use it at bedtime, because a calm room is easier to settle a child in than a bright one. Same product, same setting, two very different evenings.
“My two little girls love it, they cannot go to sleep until Aurora projector is on. I also love it, it gives me a relaxing time before I go to sleep.”Edwin C. · Verified buyer
How much does it cover?
It comfortably fills a room of 300–400 sq ft, which covers most bedrooms and living rooms. Placement makes a difference — a little distance from the wall lets it reach right across the ceiling.
“The best projector we've ever purchased. It provides a lot of different settings. When it's placed properly, it covers the entire ceiling and the walls.”Sandra P. · Verified buyer
Will it work on my ceiling?
Flat ceilings give the cleanest spread, but vaulted, sloped and popcorn ceilings all work — the pattern follows the shape of the room rather than sitting evenly, so it looks different rather than worse. A ceiling fan will cast a soft shadow depending on where you place it, so most people position it slightly off to one side.
“I nearly didn't buy this because we have a big ceiling fan right in the middle of our bedroom. I thought it would block the projection or ruin the effect. Turns out it works beautifully! The lights still fill the ceiling and surrounding walls, and you can see the fan's shadow a little depending on where you position it, but it really doesn't bother us. We use it almost every evening now.”Jerry W. · Verified buyer

Quiet a Busy Mind at Night
Turn Your Home Into a Place You Can Truly Unwind
Sleep starts before you close your eyes
Aurora isn't about brighter rooms. It's about softer ones — the kind your body recognises as a signal to slow down.
Your body reads light as a signal. Bright, harsh evenings keep your mind switched on — soft, low light tells it the day is done. Winding down begins long before you're in bed.
