New in the Aurora app

Tell it how you want the room to feel.

The Smart Projector now has a chat built into the app. Describe the evening you want and it sets the room โ€” colors, brightness, timer, sound. No menus, no guessing.

Aurora Smart Projector on a nightstand with the app open

Most people find one setting and never change it again.

Not because the others aren't there. Because at 10pm, after the day you've had, scrolling through color menus is one more decision.

So the room stays the same every night, and a projector that can do a hundred things ends up doing one.

The chat fixes that by removing the part you were avoiding. You don't have to know what you want. You just have to say how you feel.

How it works

Say it the way you'd say it to a person.

Three real examples of what people ask it.

I'm stressed out, can you put something calming on
Setting a slow green aurora at low brightness, with the movement slowed down. Want me to add white noise?
I need to wind down but I'm not tired yet
Starting with warm amber and dimming gradually over the next hour. I've set the timer for 60 minutes so it turns itself off.
movie night
Dropped the brightness right down and switched to a slow deep blue so it doesn't compete with the screen. Speaker's off.

It isn't a set of preset buttons with a search bar on top. You can ask for something oddly specific and it'll work it out โ€” and if it gets it wrong, you tell it and it adjusts.

What it controls

Everything the app can do, the chat can do.

You're not limited to color. Anything you'd normally tap through, you can just ask for.

Color and pattern

Every color the projector can produce, plus how fast the aurora moves across the ceiling.

Brightness

From full to barely there. Ask for "much dimmer" and it knows what that means.

Timer

30, 60 or 120 minutes, or just say when you want it to go off.

Speaker and white noise

Turn the Bluetooth speaker on, start white noise, set the volume โ€” all from the same chat.

Which one

The chat is what the Smart Edition is for.

Both projectors put the same light on your ceiling. The difference is how you control it.
